Obituary: Robert L. Stettler

Robert L. Stettler passed away at his home near Hebgen Lake, MT, on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, following an extended respiratory illness. Bob was an avid outdoorsman who lived his dream of hunting, fishing, and exploring some of the most wonderful places this country offers. Bob served in the U.S. Army active duty 1964-1966 and the Reserves until 1970. He worked at the U.S. Defense Mapping Agency until his retirement in 1992. During this time he met and married Linda Tenbrink on April 17, 1982. She remained a dedicated and loving partner throughout the remainder of his life. They have lived in Montana since 1992.

Bob was the eldest son and was preceded in death by his parents, S. LeRoy and Melba D. Stettler. He is survived by his wife, Linda, and his children, Carl (Dixie), Robyn, Matt, and Wendy (John) Behan. He also leaves nine grandchildren, and brothers, David, Gary, Ken, and Jim.

Per his request, there will be no funeral services.
