Lt. Gov. Cooney exposed to coronavirus case from Silver Bow County, tests negative

A press statement from the Governor's Office said the Silver Bow County man who tested presumptive positive for COVID-19 on Friday was in attendance at the Board of Regents meeting on Thursday, March 5 in Dillon.

Lt. Governor Mike Cooney was also in attendance at the Regents meeting. According to the statement, Cooney has tested negative and is asymptomatic. He will be in self-quarantine until March 20, 14 days after his point of exposure.

Earlier Saturday, the Governor's Office confirmed that the Silver Bow County man in his 50s contracted the illness in an affected area in another state.
