NW Energy plans power outages in Butte

NorthWestern Energy has scheduled several planned power outages in the uptown Butte area that will begin in the early morning hours of Sunday, June 24.

The outage allows the crews to work safely as they cut over to new equipment.

Crews will be working in different areas throughout the morning beginning at 3 a.m. The duration of outages is estimated for planning purposes; however, actual times may vary.

• North of Park St and South of Granite St; East of Montana St. and West of Main St. will begin at 3:00 a.m. for approximately 1.5 hours.
• North of I-90 and South of Park St.; East of Montana St. and West of Main St. will experience a momentary outage around 4 a.m.
• An hour-long outage beginning around 4 a.m. will affect three areas:
• North of Gold St. and South of Mercury St.; East of Main St. and West of Arizona St.
• North of Mercury St. and South of Park St.; East of Arizona St. and West of Ohio St.
• North of Galena St. and South of Park St.; East of Main St. and West of Ohio St.
• An approximately five-hour outage will begin at 4 a.m. for the area North of 2nd St. and South of Continental Dr.; East of Ohio St.

• An approximately four-hour outage will begin at 5 a.m. affecting three areas:
• North of Mercury St. and South of Galena St.; East of Main St. and West of Arizona St.
• North of Park St. and South of Granite St; East of Main St. and West of Covert St.
• North of Galena St. and South of Park St.; East of Arizona St and West of Covert St.
