BILLINGS- Snow plowing is moving forward at two of Montana’s most iconic highways in preparation for the summer tourism season.

Crews have made it to the upper quad of the Beartooth Highway heading into Yellowstone National Park, the Montana Department of Transportation wrote onFacebook.

In Glacier National Park, crews have plowed through Going-to-the-Sun Road to about four miles from Logan Pass, DOT officials said.

Beartooth Highway typically opens around Memorial Day, while Going-to-the-Sun road opens in June or July.
