A drunken driving accident has landed a Butte man with more than just a DUI charge.

On Friday, at 12:44 a.m., the Butte-Silver Bow Police Department responded to a traffic accident at the intersection of Pinion and C Streets, according to Captain Doug Conway. When they arrived they found a Polaris Razor tipped on its side.

One passenger remained at the scene sustaining minor injuries. The driver, 32-year-old Brad Conway, fled on foot.

Shortly after the accident, Conway returned to the scene where authorities determined he was under the influence of alcohol.

Conway is being charged with DUI, reckless driving, failure to remain at the scene of an accident with injury and negligent vehicular assault. All were misdemeanor charges.
